Fans of Johnny Depp certainly won’t be short of onscreen delights this year, as the actor has been keeping himself extremely busy with a diverse array of projects that are set to delight fans of all ages. Johnny has already kicked off the year with his animated smash hit movie Rango, in which he voices the lead character, a chameleon called – well, Rango! The movie has already established itself as a box office smash, and has delighted millions of kids as well as a good portion of adults who were probably glad that they had the excuse that they had to take the kids to see it so that they could watch it themselves!
Over the coming months the fourth in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is set to hit our screens, and no doubt in the weeks leading to summer many fans will be revelling in the cheesy yet irresistible characteristics displayed by Depp as the wonderful and eccentric Captain Jack Sparrow in On Stranger Tides.
As autumn rolls in Depp is set to star alongside Amber Heard in the Rum Diary, in which he leads the cast as he plays the role of freelance journalist Paul Kemp. Some believe that this sombre role could be the one that finally earns Johnny a well deserved Oscar. Depp is also set to enter into another collaboration with Tim Burton for the vampire flick Dark Shadows, which could round off the year nicely for Depp fans.
